"Factory Sam's Steel City Blog"
The trip was good to Steel City, we had beautiful weather for a
change. I spent alot of time hanging out with my friends at night. The
bikes ran good. The track was cool but they could have done a better
job maintaining it. It was very one lined for a national track and
definitely was blue grooved with overwatering going on which caused
unsafe racing at times. There were some jumps that I was barely doing
with a dry track then I came around on the next lap and its greasy? Oh
well it was still fun. I pulled both holeshots in supermini and
finished 6th? They gave me the 5th place plaque? I also pulled the
holeshot in the 90 mod main and ended up 3rd.

"Factory Sam's Kentucky Blog"
"We arrived in Kentucky thurs night to a
monsoon...we were parked in standing water. We sat around playing cards
and just chillin in the bus until bed.
Friday rain caused us to sit out of practice until the last session so I
got to sleep in. We went down to the track and watched the people who
chose to practice slop through the mud and carefully monitored track
conditions until we felt it was good enough to practice. Practice
didn't go so hot as I crashed in the woops cart wheeling the bike, it
landed on me and I was stuck under it. The steering stem snapring
popped out of the frame due to the groove being filled with
powdercoating...John Natalie and grampa Rastrelli flipped the bike off
me and I pulled off back to the trailer. So much for practice...Later
that night I just hung out with Seal and Brooks
Saturday, Practiced on the 150, hung out until supermini moto
qualified 8th, later ran 90 mod and qualified 3rd...there might be an
issue with the bike...not pulling out of corners and breaking up?
Sunday, I got up and rode around on the 110 until my first race which is
supermini...I pulled the holeshot...SWEET! I dropped back into the pack
early and my lap times went up as the moto went on but it was a little
too late...7th place
90 mod moto next, it sucked my bike definitely has a problem...I
finished 9th. My friend DJ Spurling crashed in the schoolboy jr and had
to go to the hospital...so we rode home with some other friends that
were at the track...I hope DJ is ok and gets better soon so we can go
racing together
